Logistics management controls the material flow processes between physical locations such as the manufacturer and the customer. As a result, logistics is an integral piece of the supply chain. Changes to order fulfillment or delivery planning relating to logistics can create increased costs, potentially resulting in a loss of customer satisfaction. Lead times must be considered, where delays severely impact efficient operating processes. Routing and coordination within the logistics operations also drive cost factors, with inefficient cross-docking, poor routing management, and under or over utilization of logistics capacity.

Kong and Allan Consulting understands these implications and is dedicated to improving our client partner’s current logistics model.  By working with either the internal logistics team and/or 3PL partners, Kong and Allan Consulting will assess the optimal models for material movements, providing strategic development modeling, which takes into account flexibility, risk reduction, and cost sensitivity.
